LASER AND FIBER OPTIC TECHNOLOGY/ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY DUAL DEGREE: TOTAL 86 CREDITS

If you are a LFOT student, you need to take all of the courses in the LFOT program, plus:

| EET 258/259 Microprocessors and Lab | 4.5 credits |
| EET 264/265 Automated Controls I and Lab | 4.0 credits |
| EET 266/267 Automated Controls II and Lab | 4.0 credits |
| COM 173 Public Speaking | 3.0 credits |
| Total additional credits* | 20 |
If you are an Electrical Engineering Technology student, you need to take all of the courses in the EET program, plus:
| PHO 105 Laser Safety | 0.5 credits |
| PHO 101 Introduction to Photonics | 3.0 credits |
| PHY 141 Applied Optics | 4.0 credits |
| PHO 240 Introduction to Lasers | 4.0 credits |
| PHO 250 Fiber and Integrated Optics | 4.0 credits |
| PHO 290 Advanced Laser Topics (or internship) | 3.0 credits |
| Total additional credits | 18.5 |
* You will need to have two separate plans of study, one for each degree program. Most students require at least 5 semesters to complete the dual degree. See your academic advisor each semester to ensure that you are taking the correct courses for each degree.
