TRCC Awarded SPIE Outreach Grant
Three Rivers Community College Laser and Fiber Optic Technology program was awarded a $1500 grant from SPIE for optics/photonics outreach at a ceremony at the Optics and Photonics Conference in San Diego. The grant will go toward funding Laser Camp for high school students and Junior Laser Camp for fifth graders during the 2010-2011 school year. Other sponsors of TRCC LFOT outreach activities include the CT College of Technology Regional Center for Next Generation Manufacturing, the Optical Society of America Foundation and the Center for Research on Interface Structures and Phenomena (CRISP Yale/SCSU).
