Students Awarded NEFC Scholarships

 

Three TRCC students were awarded the 2009 New England Fiber Optic Council scholarship at the organizationŐs June dinner meeting in Framingham, MA. Debra Seagraves of Plainfield, a student in the Laser Manufacturing Option of Manufacturing Engineering Technology, and Daniel Spicer of Preston and Derek Tourangeau of Waterford, both dual degree students in Laser and Fiber Optic Technology and Electrical Engineering Technology were this yearŐs recipients from Three Rivers.


NEFC is an organization of individual members and corporate sponsors engaged in the research, education, manufacturing, or application of fiber optic products, or who are professionally involved with the fiber optics industry. Five scholarships are given annually to students enrolled in associate degree programs with required courses in optics/photonics.
